Why Mid-Size
Most camping tents fall into two extremes: compact backpacking tents that fit two people without much else, or full 6–10 person basecamps that take two adults to carry and an SUV's worth of cargo space.
The Air Cabin Medium fits between them on purpose.
Who actually needs a mid-size cabin:
- Families of 3–5 who want room for kids and gear without the bulk of an 8-person tent
- Couples who want extra space — room for cots, gear, a small chair inside, instead of cramming into a 2-person dome
- Weekend campers who switch sites between trips and want gear that loads and unloads fast
- First-time buyers who don't want to commit to a giant basecamp tent before they know how often they'll camp
What you get with the cabin geometry:
- Near-vertical sidewalls — usable headroom extends toward the walls rather than tapering off like a dome
- 86.6 in / 2.2 m peak height — full standing room down the centerline for most adults
- 118 × 98.4 in footprint — fits 3 full-size air mattresses side by side, with floor space left over for gear bags and a small table
- Large PVC front window — pulls in natural light and airflow without needing the doors open
It's the size most people actually need, in a shape that uses every square foot.
Light Enough for One Adult
At 50.7 lbs packed, this is the lightest tent in our lineup. That number matters in three specific ways:
- One-adult carry from vehicle to site. Larger 6–10 person basecamps in our lineup run 64–99 lbs and need a two-person carry over distance. This one doesn't.
- One-adult setup and pack-down. Inflatable air columns mean no pole sorting; the moderate weight means you can lift, position, and stake the tent without help. Useful when one parent is wrangling kids while the other is pitching camp.
- Fits standard SUV and crossover cargo. Packed dimensions are 27.5 × 17 × 15.7 in — fits in most vehicle trunks without taking over the cargo area or requiring a roof box.
It's not a backpacking tent — 50 lbs is still too much for foot-carry over distance. But it's the closest thing in this size class to a "throw it in the car and go" basecamp.
Built for All Four Seasons
The Air Cabin Medium is engineered for year-round use across most climates.
- Winter: Factory-integrated stove jack accepts standard wood-burning camping stove pipes. The included fireproof mat sits under the stove to protect the tent floor — most hot-tent setups sell this mat separately.
- Summer: Dedicated AC port (built-in) sized for portable air conditioner pass-through. The large PVC front window pulls in airflow when the doors are sealed.
- Rain: 420D Oxford outer fabric is water-resistant. The included rainfly adds an extended rain layer for prolonged storms. The included moisture-proof pad blocks ground moisture from soaking up.
- Wind: 16 pegs + 12 guy ropes anchor the tent in exposed sites. Air column structure flexes under load instead of snapping like rigid poles.
The 4-season rating covers rain, sun, mild snow, and wind. For sustained heavy snow loads or extreme cold-weather expeditions, a heavier-build tent is more appropriate. Stove and AC unit not included.
Picking the Right Senleeto Tent
The Air Cabin Medium is our 4–6 person mid-size option. If you're sizing up your group and trip type, here's how it fits in the lineup:
Air Cabin Medium (this product) — pick if you want:
- 4–6 person capacity for families, couples with extra space, or small groups
- One-adult setup and transport
- SUV-trunk-friendly packed size
- A first inflatable tent without committing to a giant basecamp
Larger 6–8 person tents (separate products) — pick those if you want:
- Hexagonal geometry with crown skylight (Forest Dome / Halo Dome — 170 ft²)
- A-frame geometry with 100.3 in peak (A-Frame Hunting Tent / Grand Air Cabin — 135 ft²)
Larger 8–10 person cabins (separate products) — pick those if you want:
- 129 ft² interior with multiple kit configurations (Heavy-Duty Cabin / 4-Season Cabin / Yellow Cabin / Blackout Cabin / Glamping w/ Canopy)
Same brand, same engineering principles, sized for different groups and trip types. Pick the one that matches how you actually camp.
Shipping
Ships from our CA and NJ warehouses via FedEx. Estimated delivery: 3–7 business days after order processing.
- Continental US only (lower 48 states)
- No shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO boxes, or APO/FPO addresses
- Tracking number provided once the order ships
At 50.7 lbs packed, this product ships as a standard parcel — lighter and easier to handle on delivery than our larger basecamp tents.
Warranty & Returns
1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, covering the air column system, seams, zippers, and outer fabric under normal use.
Warranty does not cover damage from improper setup, sharp objects, exposure to open flame outside the stove jack, sustained winds beyond rated tolerance, or normal wear from extended commercial use.
Returns: unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. For non-defective returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Defective items: contact us with photos or video and we'll arrange replacement or refund.
Before You Order
A few things worth knowing before this lands on your doorstep:
- This is a 4–6 person tent, not an 8–10 person basecamp. If you're regularly camping with larger groups, see our 8–10 person cabin lineup. If you only need 2 people and want to carry the tent on foot, this is too heavy — look at compact backpacking tents elsewhere.
- Tent peak height is 86.6 in / 2.2 m. Comfortable standing for most adults; users taller than 6 ft 2 in may need to slightly bow at the very edges where headroom drops.
- 50 lbs is light for a 4–6 person tent, not light for foot-carry. Designed for vehicle-based camping — drive-up campgrounds, weekend trips, family glamping. Not a backpacking tent.
- Stove and AC unit not included. The chimney opening accepts most standard wood-burning camping stove pipes; the AC port is sized for most portable outdoor air conditioners. Both sold separately. The fireproof mat for stove safety is included — that's typically a separate purchase elsewhere.
- The 4-season rating covers mild snow. For sustained heavy snow loads or extreme winter expeditions, a heavier-build tent is more appropriate.
- Inflation needs the included hand pump. Standard bike pumps will not seat properly on the air column valves.
- Anchoring matters. All 16 pegs and 12 guy ropes should be deployed in exposed sites.
