Why a Hexagonal Dome
Most inflatable domes are round. The Halo Dome isn't. The 6-sided polygonal frame trades curvature for vertical wall space — the same reason yurts have stayed in use for centuries.
What that geometry buys you in practice:
- Three full-size air mattresses fit along the perimeter with walking room down the middle
- 59 in border wall height means usable space extends to the edges, not just the center peak
- 6-sided crown skylight opens overhead views and creates a high-point ventilation channel that pulls warm air up and out
- Configurable airflow across the hexagonal perimeter via 2 removable PVC windows + 4 mosquito mesh panels
The shape isn't decorative. It's the difference between a tent that feels like a tent and a tent that feels like a room.
Bright by Design — Why Khaki
Color isn't a cosmetic choice. The Halo Dome is finished in light khaki Oxford for a specific reason: lighter outer fabrics transmit more diffused daylight into the interior than darker shells. The result is a tent that feels sunlit during the day instead of dim and cave-like.
What the light khaki shell does:
- Diffused daylight inside — even with windows zipped for privacy, the interior reads bright. Useful for families with kids, slow morning routines, indoor reading, and anyone who finds dark tents claustrophobic.
- Heat-resistant Oxford weave — light color reflects more direct sun than dark fabrics, which keeps the interior cooler under midday exposure. Bright doesn't mean hot.
- Photography-friendly interior — soft, even ambient light is easier to shoot in than harsh shadows. The Halo Dome works as a portable photo studio for family shoots, anniversary content, or outdoor brand work.
- Visual fit with natural settings — neutral khaki blends with lakeside, meadow, and forest backdrops. Doesn't carry the tactical look of darker green or black shelters.
If you want a dim cave to sleep in, this isn't the right tent — consider our Forest Dome (green) for that role. The Halo Dome is built for the opposite: a bright, airy basecamp where you actually want to spend daytime hours.
Built for All Four Seasons
The Halo Dome is engineered to keep working when the weather doesn't.
- Winter: Factory-integrated stove jack (10 cm / 3.39 in) accepts standard wood-burning camping stove pipes. The crown skylight's high-point ventilation works with the stove draft to manage interior air.
- Summer: Built-in AC port supports portable air conditioner setups. The light khaki shell reflects direct sun rather than absorbing it. 2 PVC windows + 4 mosquito mesh panels manage cross-flow without an AC.
- Rain: 420D Oxford outer fabric is water-repellent. For prolonged heavy rain, an aftermarket rainfly is recommended.
- Wind: 18 pegs + 12 guy ropes anchor the dome in exposed sites. The hexagonal geometry handles wind well — sloped panels distribute load rather than presenting flat vertical sides — but only when fully staked.
Stove and AC unit not included.
Who the Halo Dome Is For
The Halo Dome is one of two hexagonal shelters in our lineup. Picking the right one matters.
Halo Dome — pick this if you want:
- Family glamping retreats with kids who'll spend daytime inside the tent
- Couples and anniversary trips where the tent is part of the experience, not just shelter
- Lakeside, meadow, and forest sites where the khaki shell blends naturally
- Photography setups — outdoor portraits, family shoots, content creation
- Social basecamps for small groups (4–8 people) where bright interiors matter
Forest Dome (separate product) — pick that if you want:
- Tactical, hunting, or overland use where green camouflage matters
- Dim interiors for daytime sleep or low-profile setups
- Available in TC Cotton 210g for cold-weather hot-tent operations
- Includes an extended rain cape for covered outdoor work zones
Same hexagonal geometry, same 170 ft² of vertical space, same 6 in / 15cm air columns. Different jobs.

Warranty & Returns
1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, covering the air column system, seams, zippers, and outer fabric under normal use.
Warranty does not cover damage from improper setup, sharp objects, exposure to open flame outside the stove jack, sustained winds beyond rated tolerance, or normal wear from extended commercial use.
Returns: unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. For non-defective returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Defective items: contact us with photos or video and we'll arrange replacement or refund.
Before You Order
A few things worth knowing before this lands on your doorstep:
- The Halo Dome ships in light khaki only. If you want a darker green tactical-look hexagonal shelter, see our Forest Dome (separate product).
- This is a basecamp tent, not a backpacking tent. Packed weight is 73.6 lbs — designed for vehicle-based camping, family glamping, and lakeside setups, not foot-carry.
- Stove not included. The 10 cm / 3.39 in stove jack accepts most standard wood stove chimneys sold separately.
- Outer fabric is water-repellent, not fully waterproof. The Halo Dome ships without a rainfly. For prolonged heavy rain in exposed sites, source an aftermarket hexagonal rainfly separately, or pitch under tree cover. Light precipitation and routine rain are handled by the shell as-is.
- Inflation needs the included hand pump (or a compatible 12V electric pump). Standard bike pumps will not seat properly on the air column valves.
- Anchoring matters. 18 pegs and 12 guy ropes are included — use all of them in exposed sites. Hexagonal geometry handles wind well, but only when fully staked.
