Built Heavier — and Why That Matters

This tent weighs 64 lbs. That's not light. It's heavier than most inflatable cabin tents in the same size class — and the weight is the point.

Three components carry that extra weight:

  • 420D Oxford outer fabric — thicker yarn, higher tear strength, longer service life under sustained UV exposure than thinner Oxford grades. Rip-stop weave to limit tear propagation if it does get caught on something.
  • 6 in / 15cm air columns — larger-diameter air beams flex less under wind load and recover shape faster after gusts. Smaller-diameter columns can deflect enough in heavy wind to flatten one side of the tent.
  • 400g PVC groundsheet — waterproof and puncture-resistant. Heavier than PE or thin Oxford floors, designed to handle rocky, twiggy, or uneven ground without needing a separate footprint underneath.

The trade-off is honest: this isn't a tent you carry on your back. It's a tent you put in the truck once and leave standing for a week. Built for the job it's actually doing.

Why an Inflatable Cabin

Most 8-person tents come with a bundle of poles, sleeves, and a long setup ritual. This tent uses inflatable air columns instead — pump in, stand up, done.

What that buys you in practice:

  • 5–10 minute setup with the included high-pressure hand pump
  • Rectangular floor plan, vertical walls — usable space extends to the edges, not just the center
  • 4 full-size air mattresses fit inside with room for gear
  • Double-sided zipper doors — operable from inside or outside, useful when you need to lock up or someone needs to step out without unzipping the whole panel
  • Pressure relief valve — air column pressure rises with daytime heat; the valve releases excess automatically, preventing over-pressurization damage you'd otherwise have to babysit

Air columns also flex under wind load instead of snapping like rigid poles. The cabin geometry is the difference between sleeping in a tent and living in one.

Built for All Four Seasons

The yellow cabin is engineered to keep working when the weather doesn't.

  • Winter: Flame-retardant chimney opening accepts standard wood-burning camping stove pipes. The included anti-fire mat is sized for stove placement inside the tent.
  • Summer: Dedicated AC port (inlet + outlet) sized for most portable outdoor air conditioners. 4 mesh + 4 ventilation windows + 2 transparent skylights manage cross-flow and natural light without an AC.
  • Rain: 420D Oxford outer fabric is water-resistant. The 400g PVC groundsheet is waterproof and stops moisture from soaking up through the floor.
  • Wind: 12 heavy-duty pegs + 6 guy lines anchor the tent in exposed sites. The 15cm air columns flex under load and recover shape after gusts.

Stove and AC unit not included.

Shipping

Ships from our CA and NJ warehouses via FedEx. Estimated delivery: 3–7 business days after order processing.

  • Continental US only (lower 48 states)
  • No shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, PO boxes, or APO/FPO addresses
  • Tracking number provided once the order ships

Note: due to packed weight (64 lbs), this product ships as a single oversized parcel. A signature may be required at delivery.

Warranty & Returns

1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, covering the air column system, seams, zippers, and outer fabric under normal use.

Warranty does not cover damage from improper setup, sharp objects, exposure to open flame outside the stove jack, sustained winds beyond rated tolerance, or normal wear from extended commercial use.

Returns: unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. For non-defective returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Defective items: contact us with photos or video and we'll arrange replacement or refund.

Before You Order

A few things worth knowing before this lands on your doorstep:

  • Tent peak height is 70.8 in / 1.8 m. Comfortable standing for most adults; users taller than 5 ft 11 in may need to slightly bow at the peak.
  • This is a basecamp tent, not a backpacking tent. Packed weight is 64 lbs — designed for vehicle-based camping, family trips, and extended-stay group setups, not foot-carry.
  • Stove and AC unit not included. The chimney opening accepts most standard wood-burning camping stove pipes; the AC port is sized for most portable outdoor air conditioners. Both sold separately.
  • Outer fabric is water-resistant. The 400g PVC groundsheet is waterproof. For prolonged heavy rain in exposed sites, consider sourcing an additional rainfly separately.
  • Inflation needs the included high-pressure hand pump. Standard bike pumps will not seat properly on the air column valves. The pressure relief valve is built into the tent's air column system.
  • Anchoring matters. All 12 pegs and 6 guy lines should be deployed in exposed sites. The 15cm air columns handle wind well, but only when fully staked.
