SETUP & USE

Simple setup, secure pitch

Follow a few basic steps to inflate, shape and secure your Purple Blackout A-frame tent for regular campsite use.

  1. Pick your spot

Choose a flat, level campsite and remove sharp objects such as rocks, branches and thorns before spreading out the tent.

  2. Spread and stake the corners

Lay the tent flat on the ground and secure the four floor corners first. Keep the base taut, but do not over-stretch it.

  3. Inflate and seal the air frame

Choose the matching nozzle, twist it into the air valve, and inflate with the included high-pressure hand pump until the air beams feel firm and springy. Then tighten the outer valve cap.

  4. Stake and tension the guy lines

Peg out the guy lines at about a 45-degree angle and adjust them for a taut, stable pitch. A well-tensioned setup helps the tent stay more stable in changing conditions.

  5. Add the rainfly if included

Attach the zip-on extension rainfly when you want added overhead coverage or when using the rainfly stove-jack opening. Secure the support pole and guy lines according to the attachment points.

Tip: In strong sunlight or high temperatures, inflate to about 80% first to allow for air expansion. Make sure the tent is fully dry before packing or long-term storage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything worth knowing before you order — blackout interior, setup, capacity, accessories and care.

What makes the Purple Blackout version different?

The Purple Blackout version uses a darker inner coating designed to reduce incoming light and create a more private interior feel. It is better suited for sleeping, naps, late mornings and shaded campsite use.

Is the tent completely dark inside?

The blackout interior helps reduce light, but actual darkness can vary depending on open doors, windows, skylight position, rainfly setup and surrounding campsite lighting.

How long does setup take?

For most campers, setup takes about 5–10 minutes with the included high-pressure hand pump, depending on campsite conditions and how familiar you are with the tent.

How many people does it sleep?

The tent can sleep up to 8 people in a denser sleeping-pad layout. For more comfort, especially with cots, furniture and everyday gear, we recommend it for 4–6 campers.

Can I use a tent stove inside?

Yes. The tent includes stove-jack access on the tent body and on the rainfly, so you can use a compatible stove setup with or without the rainfly. Always use one stove setup at a time with proper ventilation, safe clearances and a suitable heat-resistant stove mat. Stove not included.

Does it have an A/C port?

Yes. The tent includes a zipped A/C pass-through port that helps route a compatible portable A/C or heater hose into the tent. A/C or heater unit not included.

What comes in the complete kit?

The complete kit includes the Purple Blackout A-frame tent body, zip-on extension rainfly, support pole, ground tarp, heat-resistant stove mat, high-pressure hand pump, carry bag, ground pegs and guy lines.

How does it handle rain?

The molded tub floor helps block ground moisture, and the rainfly adds an overhead weather layer. Proper setup, guy-line tension and use of the rainfly are important in changing weather.

How should I store it?

Make sure the tent is fully dry before packing it away. Release the air, fold it loosely, and store it in a clean, dry place. Long-term storage while damp may cause mildew or odor.

What warranty do you offer?

Senleeto provides a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If you receive a defective item, contact us with photos or video and we’ll help arrange a solution.
