Why a Hexagonal Dome

Most inflatable domes are round. The Forest Dome isn't. The 6-sided polygonal frame trades curvature for vertical wall space — the same reason yurts have stayed in use for centuries.

What that geometry buys you in practice:

  • Three full-size air mattresses fit along the perimeter with walking room down the middle
  • 59 in border wall height means usable space extends to the edges, not just the center peak
  • 6-sided crown skylight opens overhead views and creates a high-point ventilation channel that pulls warm air up and out
  • Configurable airflow across the hexagonal perimeter via 2 removable PVC windows + 4 mosquito mesh panels

Combined with the integrated extended rain cape, the result is closer to a two-zone basecamp than a single tent — sleeping interior on one side, covered outdoor work zone on the other.

Oxford vs. TC Cotton — Which Version to Pick

The Forest Dome ships in two outer fabric options. Both share the same frame, geometry, rain cape, and accessory kit — the difference is in the outer shell.

Oxford Version — 420D Oxford

  • Enhanced breathability and temperature regulation
  • Heavier packed weight: 99.2 lbs / 45 kg
  • Best fit: cold-weather hot-tent setups with a wood stove, semi-permanent basecamps where weight is less critical

Stove not included. The factory stove jack accepts standard 10 cm / 3.39 in chimney pipes.

Warranty

1-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, covering the air column system, seams, zippers, and outer fabric under normal use.

Warranty does not cover damage from improper setup, sharp objects, exposure to open flame outside the stove jack, sustained winds beyond rated tolerance, or normal wear from extended commercial use.

Returns: unused items in original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. For non-defective returns, return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Defective items: contact us with photos or video and we'll arrange replacement or refund.

Before You Order

A few things worth knowing before this lands on your doorstep:

  • This is a basecamp tent, not a backpacking tent. Packed weight is 73.6–99.2 lbs depending on fabric — designed for vehicle-based camping, overland setups, and hunting parties, not foot-carry.
  • Stove not included. The 10 cm / 3.39 in stove jack accepts most standard wood stove chimneys sold separately.
  • Outer fabric is water-resistant. The included black-coated rain cape provides additional rain and UV protection for the covered zone. For prolonged heavy rain, we recommend pitching with the rain cape deployed.
  • Inflation needs the included hand pump (or a compatible 12V electric pump). Standard bike pumps will not seat properly on the air column valves.
  • Anchoring matters. 18 pegs and 12 guy ropes are included — use all of them in exposed sites. Hexagonal geometry handles wind well, but only when fully staked.
